Since the deaths (MIA) of the Silver Raven Inn's original staff, Alessa's Family has taken over ownership and now run the Inn and have since added to the Inn's defenses. But with the return of Tiga Joutei, Alessa has since handed the Inn back over but still act's as a backer to the Inn itself. Lending her support and resources as needed to Tiga and the Inn that had been her second home when she was but a child.
Some folk apparently don't realize the Inn has the ability to defend itself now or ever so this here is a list.
The Inn has built up it's own well of energy in which it draws from in order to fuel these defenses and the pool regenerates over time through out the day but also can replenish faster if one feeds it magic or even attacks it with Elemental Magic of earth, fire, air(lightning) and water(Ice). This included recently void which has become the main element used in attempts to remove the Inn.
The Headmaster & Innkeeper is currently is the only ones who can activate the Shield defenses of the Inn. this may change over time. If the Inn should be attack and the Headmaster isn't on, it's expected she/he is to be NPC activating the defenses. Though it would be respectful and not rude if one was to get in touch with them first so they could be on to roleplay it out.
The Shields are not intended to be active all the time, only during times of emergency or when the Innkeeper (Tiga) or the headmaster (Alessa) deem it necessary. The sheilds can run a good 48 hours solid before needing to recharge however for the Kineshield this can vary depending on how much force is being directed. Remember they are built to with stand a siege.
*Energy Absorption: The Inn itself is immune to otherwise harmful energies of all forms and intensities. While the energy isn't harmful to the Inn, they now actually empower it by feeding the absorbed energy into its other defenses.
*Regeneration: The Inn is capable of regenerating damage done to it. Depending on the severity of the damage will depend on how fast it regenerates. While scratches with a knife on the wall will regenerate instantly, larger damage such as a wall being blow out could take up to a couple hours. The process can be speed up by the Headmaster of the Inn by tapping into the Inn's own reservoir of divine energy or by feeding it energy through it's absorption effect.
*Kineshield: Think of it as a Wall/sphere of force spell that covers all sides of the Inn with a shimmering golden, translucent field of force that protects the Inn and everything outside it in a 100 foot radius. Thats from the porch and extending out to 100 feet. The kineshield protects the Inn from physical attacks from simple arrows to boulders launched by siege weapons. It can also protect the Inn from magical attacks in the physical manner. A Fireball would crash on the kineshield with none of the flames passing through it yet the heat itself would still be felt and could burn anyone close by. The Kinesheild cannot be dispelled by Dispel Magic however more powerful spells like Disintegration can destroy the kineshield. The Kineshield is also immune to the effects of anti-magic(or Nulling) Fields that would normally cancel out such effects.
*Antimagic Field: The Secondary defense of the Inn is much like the Kineshield, only extending out to 120 feet and effects only
magic/Psionic/Psychic/specialnowflakemagicpower. While the field is up those within the field cannot use their powers within the field as the power will simply fail to take effect and the effort wasted. This also prevents the teleporting and Portalling in and out of the Inn. If such attempts are made the person will hit into the antimagic field and be slammed back to the place of origin where they casted the travel spell. This spell cannot be effected by other antimagic effects or dispel. The field overlaps with the Kineshield yet does not effect the Kineshield.
Keep in mind that magical items won't loose their magic within the field but will not have access to their magical nature while the field is up. They will still count as magical items for the purpose of damage.
*Secret Door: Within the Inn known only to the Headmaster and Innkeeper is a secret one time use gateway reserved for if the Inn should fall under heavy siege and the defense look like they will fail. This Gateway can only be activated once and once done so it ignores the effects of the antimagic field, however it can be dispel. The purposes is to serve as an emergency exit from the Inn, and can be used to evacuate the Inn in the event that there is no other option. Where it takes those isn't known. This secret Door cannot be found with normal spells that would locate hidden doors and requires the correct command word to activate it.
Notes: Staff of the Inn. (if interested in a position contact Tiga or Alessa)
*Headmaster: Alessa Nightfall.
*Innkeeper: Tiga Joutei
Barkeeper: Maribel
Staff maids:
-Emil Shepard
Guards:
-Karu
-Marlowe
-Uriel Lighthome
-Zeke Nightfall
*Neutral Territory: It is well known that the Silver Raven Inn is consider Neutral territory and if there is any doubt there is a sign on the wall as soon as one enters telling them the Inn itself is of Neutral territory and any fights, conflicts should be taken outside and away form the Inn. The Inn does not hold to any side but it's own and there is little to no gain for anyone in trying to take it out. To break the law is to be exiled from the Inn and the lands arround it to never return, on pain of death.
